- TUCKER, JEROME
Funeral services for Jerome Tucker, 82, a lifelong resident of Ponchatoula, were held Saturday at the McKneely Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. Interment was in the Sand Hill Cemetery.
He died Thursday, February 22, at the Tucker camp near the mouth of the Tangipahoa River. A son of the late Eulalie Hoover and Zelotus Tucker, he was born in Ponchatoula on April 10, 1869.
His wife, the former Julia Palmas, preceded him in death.
He is survived by five sons, Chase M. and Arthur Tucker of Sarasota, Fla., Earl Tucker of Hammond, Alvin Tucker of Ponchatoula, and Dan Tucker of Lansing, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. William M. Marshall of Kenner; two sisters, Mrs. Felix Poche and Mrs. Witt Lavigne of Ponchatoula; fourteen grandchildren and six great, grandchildren.
